What's new in Maplapse
This page lists what changed in each released version of Maplapse, limited to what you will notice in the app.
Maplapse 1.1
Even closer to where you really were
- New overnight stops: wherever you spent the night can start a stop of its own, even when two places you slept are close together. Turn them on under Settings › Travel behavior.
- Come back to a place after a night somewhere else and it becomes a stop of its own. A day trip that returns the same day stays part of the same stop.
- A stop's marker now sits where your photos were taken rather than at the calculated midpoint.
- Maplapse now separates sub-stops by distance, and you can set how finely, down to 250 m.
- New photos appear on the map within a minute, even while iCloud is still downloading your library.
- Search finds the trip names you gave as soon as you type part of them, and with Pro even with a typo.
- On iPad, the bar above the map stays put in landscape too, and a button hides and shows it.
- Shared trips load much faster for the people you share with, and opening a link starts the trip right after the download.
